Birthday Party Suggestions

By , 15 January, 2010, 2 Comments

We’re finally starting to accumulate our list of venues for birthday parties and need your help. We know the obvious places in the hood–your Moxie, Little Gym, etc., but we’d love to hear from you about spots that are more under the radar. If you’ve had a birthday party somewhere cool and interesting lately–please either email or respond to this post.

Thanks and look forward to hearing your suggestions!

One of my personal favorites is BounceU in Bay Ridge. My kids love it there and the staff is friendly and good with kids. Chelsea Piers in the city is also a great space.

At Everyday Athlete Kids, our Tumbling, Dance or Old School kids parties are 2 hours, include 15 kids, two trained adults running activities, and have a 45 min age-appropriate activity period ( tumbling, dance, parachute, active play, etc…), then a 45 hour party period ( food, cake, etc…). We also do an age-appropriate art project with them (that they take home with them) while they wait for all the kids to arrive.
You are welcome to provide your own snacks, food, cake, etc… or we can organize as much as you would like us to, at an extra cost.
We do lots of parties, and the kids (and parents) love them.
You get to have fun with your kids, and not worry about messing up your apartment or cleaning up afterwards!!
Another ( cheaper ) option is to do an Open Play Party for younger children- we set up for a regular Open Play session (toys, soft sided equipment, etc…), with the addition of the tables and chairs in the front for the kids to have their food and cake. We have a coach there to help you with set up and clean up and to manage the space, but you are responsible for your kids. We can provide plain white paper goods, as well, and balloons, but we do not entertain the kids for you!
