B67 Bus Tweets Let You Grab Coffee

By , 23 January, 2010, No Comment

Those crazy Park Slope peeps are at it again with their community tweets. Adding to the ParkingAroundMe service which was implemented to let Park Slope car owners know when a parking spot was freeing up, BusesAroundMe will now give B67 riders an idea of when the next bus will be arriving at their stop. The bus, which is known as perpetually late, has been the bane of many commuters existence–especially in the cold weather. Now, according to the NY Post you’ll be able to text “BAM” to “95495” or tweet a direct message to @roadify to get on an initial list to receive further instructions, which include texting your address while waiting for the bus and then “GET” to find out the status of the latest B67 bus.
Interesting social experiment to be sure. If anyone uses it, please be sure to let us know how it goes.
