New Pediatric Dentist Coming to Atlantic Ave.

By , 24 February, 2010, 8 Comments

A new dentist for kids is coming to Atlantic Ave between Henry and Clinton. Called Brooklyn Heights Pediatric Dentistry, the website claims it will be open in February–but I’m thinking that may not happen. It consists of two dentists–Dr. Janice Lau and Dr. Pamela Donohue–who look to be locals. I’ve asked them to let me know when they’ll be opening and what insurance they take (I know we’ve had a problem finding pediatric dentists around here that take insurance at all) so will let you know when I hear.

Thanks for the heads up on this new dentist at Brooklyn Heights Pediatric Dentistry. I brought my daughter there last week, and it was a good experience for both my daughter and I. I can see that my daughter has become more enthusiastic with keeping brushing and keeping her teeth clean. So if others are looking for a high quality dentist in the area, I would highly recommend this dental office.

Thanks for the suggestion. I took my son for a routine checkup and teeth cleaning at Brooklyn Heights Pediatric Dentistry a couple of weeks ago, and Dr. Janice Lau handled my son’s nervousness very well. Dr. Lau was able to get him to become more aware of maintaining good oral health. Good job Dr. Lau.

I took my three kids to BHPD last weekend. For my twins, it was a first appointment and my son, a new dentist. Finally, a dentist was able to make my son comfortable enough for xrays (although the news wasn’t too good – no more milk at bedtime!!). Everyone there was kind and Dr. Lau was wonderful with the kids. The rhythm with with she works with her staff is incredible to watch. Within a couple of minutes, each of the twins (3yo) had their teeth checked, cleaned and fluoride treated. Topping off the visit with stickers and silly bands helped too!

Plus, they take insurance, have Saturday appointments, are in the neighborhood….I’m sold.

That’s gonna be a good news for the community. The more skilled dentists they have I think the more opportunity to find one who is covered with the insurance. I see that things will get even better in the field of pediatric dentistry. Great news for our Kids!
