Verde, a new Italian restaurant at 216 Smith Street, will open its doors for business on Monday 5 April. The eatery, which can be classified as Northern Italian with a Southern twist, will offer an upscale menu of completely organic products and high-end meat, fish and produce. If you’re looking for chicken parm, you’ll have to head elsewhere, because Dino Castri, the head chef at Verdi, promises only sophisticated, well-thought out dishes. His signature, Spaghetti Chitarra, will feature sea urchin and jumbo scallops tossed in a light, creamy sauce. Also expect items like sushi grade salmon and tuna as well as Kobe beef, pistachios imported from Sicily and produce from far-flung places like Japan. Verde will enjoy a full liquor license, so you’ll be able to sip some vino from the all-Italian wine list or relax with an Italian-themed cocktail at the bar or in the garden.

I spend a lot of time dining in the area and I must say that this place is great. I recommend anyone who passes by to go in and check it out. The food is great and the place itself is gorgeous; upscale and classy. You definitely get great products with a sophisticated style. I will be back for sure!!!
