This bistro has been the go-to for basic French fare on Smith since 2001. Tales abound of great food, great service, bad food, bad service — we can say that our recent visits for brunch and lunch, with kids and grandparents, have been highly successful. The croque madame, eggs florentine, nicoise salade, and steaks are all good options for adults, and for les enfants there is a kids’ menu. Really, a French bistro that actually offers a kids’ menu can only be accused of having so much ‘tude. And if you’re looking for one more good bad idea to finish off a kidless night out on Smith Street, the Late Night Giant Bar Tabac Burger might just be it.
