I often complain about the lack of certain good ethnic food in the neighborhood (where’s the Chinese? I’m a Jew, Peking duck is part of my DNA), we are lucky enough to have excellent Middle Eastern grub. My favorite is Waterfalls Cafe, a small, comfy eatery on Atlantic with some of the best hummos around. The staff is child-friendly and has a few highchairs in back. And seriously, what kid can say no to warm pita and a plate of crunchy falafel? Platters of chicken and lamb shawarma will melt in your mouth and the lesser known veggie dishes make eating adventurously fun for the whole family.
