Though the money hasn’t been raised to build it yet, Brooklyn Bridge Park officials have applied for a permit with the state Department of Environmental Conservation to build a permanent Floating Pool on the north side of Pier 5 near Atlantic Ave. According to The Daily News, it would cost between five and 10 million dollars–a fraction of the cost of the $350 million park. Sounds bitchin’. But, um, where do we get the money? Are we back to the whole housing debate?
