The process of getting one’s child into a school in the Bococa area is, frankly, a nightmare. On this subject we readily admit that there are better resources out there than what we could provide.
A good place to start is the Families First website; each year the organization does its best to compile current and accurate information on the various options for pre-school and elementary school. The pdf files at the top of the Families First resources page are must-downloads. Before you attempt to choose the right school, you’ll need to know what schools are out there.
The school puzzle can be so complex that you’ll wish you had a consultant to decode the information and make sure you’re not missing any boats. And there is just such a person — Joyce Szuflita, who runs NYC School Help. Whether you hire her or not, you will want to consult her site’s Info for Parents page.
